"The world we've made, as a result of the level of thinking we have done thus far, creates problems we cannot solve at the same level of thinking" - Albert Einstein
Currently 2/3 of all Adults and 1/3 of all children are either overweight or obese. This number is astonishing and what makes it even more so is that it has steadily increased over 4 decades. In addition, the combined revenue of the Pharmaceutical and Weight Loss Industries is over a whopping 350 Billion Dollars annually! Obviously, there is an epidemic in our country and the reality is that if we continue attempting to solve our health crisis with the same level of thinking that created the crisis, regression of our society’s health is a certainty. However, if we choose a different path, a course that will provide realistic and attainable health solutions, the possibilities for our society are endless.
It is Time for A New Level of Thinking...

Mark Macdonald
I began this journey sixteen years ago, frustrated with the void of available health information. Everything on the market was either designed around quick weight loss through calorie and carbohydrate restriction or by using medication to solve health challenges. I quickly realized that there was a hole in our Health Industry. The answers and solutions that millions of people of all goal types were desperately searching for could not be found. It was at this moment I understood “Why” Venice Nutrition had to be created, I needed to create a New Level of Thinking and finally fill the hole in the Health Industry. I knew this vision could be accomplished by delivering a realistic and attainable health education that would teach people how to permanently work nutrition, fitness and overall health into their world.
Through the past sixteen years, what initially began as my cause has become OUR cause. Venice Nutrition started with one coach, me, and one client. We have built a grass roots movement nationally and internationally that has inspired fellow Health Professionals to join the movement and Individuals that truly want to understand how their body works so they can finally take control of their health. This has all been possible because of the passion of the Venice Nutrition Community which is now over One Million Strong!
We are entering the Next Level for Venice Nutrition. Because of the strength of our Community and Partnerships, together we are primed to reach the masses and bring about true change. We are at our “Tipping Point” and it is time for us to Lead A New Level of Thinking in the Health Industry.

Business Partnerships & Presenting Workplace Wellness
details
Speakers: Joanne Leebio >> & Pam Rotshteinbio >>
It has always been clear that a key factor in achieving Venice Nutrition’s mission was to partner with fellow Health Related Businesses that possessed the same vision as VN. We live in a time when businesses see a much greater ROI (return on investment) in time, energy and finances by focusing on working together with businesses that share similar clientele rather than investing advertising dollars. Our clients want a complete health solution that will work into their world. This means they want to know what restaurants are best for them, what exercise classes or health facility would be optimal to achieve their goals, and what services will assist them in keeping their body running full throttle (massage, chiropractor adjustments, annual physical, etc.). Joanne will provide a step by step system on how to effectively and efficiently partner with businesses that fill the need of your clients, which in turn will also provide you the opportunity to gain exposure and work with their clientele. Bringing your services to local companies gives you another powerful tool to expand your business. Companies understand the importance of Workplace Wellness. A healthy work environment leads to more a more energetic and productive staff. Companies are searching for realistic, attainable and budget friendly solutions to improve their Workplace Wellness. Pam will share exactly how to initiate, book and present a Wellness Program for a company. Partnering with Health Related Businesses and bringing Workplace Wellness to local companies are two powerful ways to expand your business and maximize your ROI.

Learning Your Metabolism, Starting Point & Goal Setting
details
Speaker: Mark Macdonaldbio >>
You must first know where you are starting from before you can determine where you are going and how fast you can get there. The first question we ask ourselves when we start any type of health plan is: "How quickly will I achieve my goals?" It seems like a fairly straight forward question and should be easy to answer. By simply applying logic, we could determine exactly what speed each health goal could be achieved, right? If it was only that easy... The reality is each of us has a different metabolism and starting point, which directly affects the rate that our health goals can be achieved. The fact is that setting unrealistic time frames for health goals is the biggest reason why many people do not succeed in reaching them. Now the great news is that whatever your health goal, it is attainable if you implement the right tools. The only unknown in the health goal process is the time frame in which you will achieve those goals. There are many variables that determine how quickly your goals will be achieved. Mark will lead you through how to determine your type of metabolism and your starting point, then based on those pieces of information set realistic and attainable health goals & time frames to achieve them. During the presentation, Mark will cover these topics: The 3 Types of Metabolisms, The Gender Factor, Your Set Point and WRM (weight regulating mechanism), Body Composition, The Four Levels of Health and the VN Goal Setting System. This breakout session will provide a clear picture of your staring point as well as where you are going. Your will learn the tools to get there in the 4 remaining breakout sessions.

Mastering Your Meals
details
Speaker: Mark Macdonaldbio >> & Chef Valeriebio >>
Succeeding with your Health is accomplished by becoming an Expert of Your Nutrition. The concept of becoming “educated” about your food is foreign to most people. You see, “diets” only train us to do what we are told, not to question or to learn. We are taught to follow a plan, implement its strategies and then somehow have the will power to continue on forever. We never truly learn anything, except that we do not want to live our life in a “dieting box.” So, when we are tired of the “diet”, we quit with the same nutrition knowledge we had when we started. The purpose of this breakout session is to break down the the “dieting box” walls, and to help you become an Expert on Your Nutrition. This will educate you on HOW and WHY you CAN eat the foods you love and STILL achieve your Health Goals. Mark will share these topics with you: The Purpose of Your Digestive System, The 6 Essential Nutrients, The 20 Tips for Your Nutrition Success and How to Simplify your Meals. Chef Valerie will also be presenting tips on how to incorporate quick, easy to prepare and tasty balanced recipes. This breakout session will provide you with the knowledge and skills to become an Expert on Your Nutrition.

Optimizing & Diversifying Your Exercise
details
Speakers: Monica Brantbio >> & Joanne Leebio >>
Your Nutrition Releases your Stored Body Fat, Your Exercise Burns Up that Fat and Increases your Lean Body Mass (composing your metabolism). Since your stored fat is primarily burned in your muscle for energy, the main goal when you exercise is to activate the maximum amount of muscle fibers (the more muscle you activate the more body fat you burn). In a sense, we are all creatures of habit and it is more comfortable to do the same workouts over and over again. The challenge with this mindset is after the first week your body adapts to that workout. This means, by not changing up your workouts you stop progressing and shift to your body into a maintenance mode. There are 3 principles that will keep your exercise fresh, exciting and help you progress towards achieving your health goals. The 3 principles are: Understanding how to Work out Smarter, Challenging Yourself and Enjoying Your Exercise. Monica and Joanne will educate you on how to achieve these 3 principles by focusing on these topics: The 3 Types of Exercise (stretching, cardio & strength training), The 4 ways to Stretch, The Differences Between Fat Burning Cardio & High Intensity Cardio, Learning Your Oxygen Line, The Most Optimal Cardio Movements, The 2 Types of Strength Training (Core and Weight), The 10 Tips for Your Exercise Success, Sample Workout Routine and How to Find Your Passion for Exercise. Monica and Joanne will show you how to optimize and diversify your exercise so you possess the tools to take your body to the highest level.

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body
details
Speaker: Patti Driesellbio >>
Have you ever heard the saying “Perception is Reality?” It is so true. Regardless of the actual data and facts in front of us, if we perceive something a particular way it becomes our reality. This is why making your health a priority and permanently achieving your health goals has to do as much with your daily actions as your daily mindset. To achieve a Healthy Body, you must possess a Healthy Mind. The “dieting” industry has conditioned us to focus solely on external results and quick fixes, causing us to lose touch with what we really get from our health, like Confidence, Energy, Permanent Results, and most importantly, The ability to Take Control of our Health. Patti will share concepts that will assist you in unlocking any potential “limiting beliefs” that can derail your health progress. Patti will cover these topics: The Mind/Body Connection, Letting go of the “Dieting” and Restriction Mindset, The Power of Your Body Language and State, The 10 Concepts to Stay Motivated and Inspired with Your Health, The 5 Step Stress Management System and How your Healthy Mindset is the Number One Determining Factor for You to Permanently Achieve Your Health Goals. Joanne grew up in the North East of England, born under the glow of an industrial blast furnace... Joanne’s parents worked hard to achieve their dreams and were able to move their family into a wonderful home in a beautiful village called Hilton.
Hilton is still where Joanne calls home, her parents still live in the same house, some 35 years later and maybe its that solid family foundation that gave Joanne and her brother Simon the stability to be able to spread their own wings, create their own destiny and dance to the beat of their own drum.
Joanne was always the athlete, while others at school played hockey and netball (England remember); Joanne was always told to get back out on the track. High jump, 100m and 200m with the occasional hurdles were her forte. Although her dislike for the high jump was pretty intense, she persevered and took all her events to county level where she competed for several years.
While training at the track Joanne was encouraged to train with weights to strengthen her legs. This would be the first time Joanne entered a weight gym - when she was 14 years old.
It was pretty much love at first rep and by 17 she was on stage competing in Bodybuilding. In her 20’s Joanne won the British, European and World championships. She turned professional, competed in the Ms Olympia a couple of times before retiring at the age of 30.
When not in the gym Joanne was quite a good student going from college to University to gain her BA (honors) in Business and Finance.
With two main goals achieved, to get her degree and to get her "Pro" card, Joanne turned her sights to travel and moved to Australia. On her return flight to England, Joanne had second thoughts about going home and when the plane landed in Los Angeles for a stop over, Joanne got out and didn’t get back on... 14 years ago.
Dreams do come true and Joanne turned her great passion for training into a personal training business. Gold’s Gym in Venice became Joanne’s base (where she first met Mark Macdonald, the creator of Venice Nutrition) and her clientele along with her reputation grew; she became the go to girl for 'conditioning', the best advert of her skills being her own body.
Now Joanne is a Certified Nutrition Coach and an Nation-Wide Inspirational Speaker. She brings all her experience and life history to every event she attends.
When she began this journey over fifteen years ago, she knew only that she wanted to be in the health care field. She lost her mother at a young age and did not fully understand what exactly what happened to her. At the time, she was too young for any technical explanation, and felt helpless and powerless to do anything to change the outcome of that crisis.
That is when she made up her mind to never again be in the dark with regard to her own health or the health of those she cared about. She ended up choosing nutrition and dietetics for two reasons: first, to gain an understanding of the general mechanisms of the human body, and specifically, the relationship of good food and good nutrition to positive health outcomes; secondly, she has an insatiable passion for it. She knew after she finished her first nutrition course that she had found her niche. It is an ever-changing field that offers constant stimulation and opportunity for new growth and learning. She is fortunate to practice something that she truly enjoys doing everyday. Her clients' victories are also her victories, and it is always a thrill for her to know that she has made a difference in their lives. As a result of the education she has received and the experience she has gained, she is now in a position to offer her skills and knowledge to those who need it. For her, being capable of filling the position of Director of Dietetics for the IBNFC (International Board of Nutrition and Fitness Coaching) is an honor and provides her with the opportunity to help educate thousands more people each year about nutrition and fitness.
Patti Driesell has the passion, knowledge and life experience to help you achieve the levels of success you desire in your life... and more! She has spent her life accumulating cutting edge knowledge in the fields of psychology and nutrition. She has studied a multitude of disciplines and is a Certified Nutritionist, Certified NLP Master Practitioner, Certified Life Coach, Certified Speaker and Trainer, and a Certified Personal Trainer.
In addition to her extensive training in nutrition and powerful behavior change techniques, she has had first hand experience working through very challenging personal issues of her own. Raised by college basketball’s legendary Coach Lefty Driesell, her life was anything but normal and calm.
To the outside world Patti's life appeared to be successful and fulfilling. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, was a competitive springboard diver, and had many friends who loved her up-beat personality. While her life looked successful from the outside, inside she was tormented by bulimia and driven to find the answers and keys to healing and freedom from the uncontrollable urges to binge and purge.
Patti has discovered that all of the mental and emotional tools for creating behavior change and healing simply cannot be as effective as they are meant to be if one’s nutrition is out of balance. Paramount to creating your optimal physical and mental health is learning how, when and what to eat to ensure that your physiology is working for you and not against you.
She has learned that what works for one person may or may not work for another. Her commitment to herself and to the people around her is to continue to learn and pass on the newest behavior change techniques so that others can more easily make the lifestyle changes they desire.
Patti found the nutritional “Silver Bullet” she sought with Venice Nutrition. The Venice Nutrition philosophy and program is grounded in the science of blood sugar stabilization. It will empower you with the knowledge, tools and support you need to take control of your health, energy and life.
Together with Patti and Venice Nutrition you will gain powerful insights into how your body and mind operate. You will have Fun taking charge of your health and learning new life skills! You will enjoy tapping into your own motivation and inspiration as you successfully turn your challenges into triumphs!
There is a saying that some of the greatest things in life are created out of frustration. How do we eliminate the frustration when there are so many unanswered questions regarding nutrition and health? How do we separate fact from fiction? When Mark Macdonald created The Venice Nutrition Program, he never imagined that it would revolutionize the entire nutrition and fitness industry. His goal was simply to provide people with a solution.
Mark grew up tall and lanky, and like most kids, ate whatever he wanted. Adept in sports, his athletic abilities soon earned him a collegiate soccer scholarship, driving him to exercise and train for hours each day. It was during this time that he noticed his Mom struggle with her weight. He saw how she attempted diet after diet, always losing weight and then gaining back what she lost and more; her constant struggle never made sense to Mark. Why couldn’t she stay lean and healthy? Why couldn’t she eat well consistently? Was she exercising enough?
Mark thought that his college education would answer these burning questions regarding nutrition. He soon realized that the educational system did not provide the answers he was looking for. He distinctly remembers speaking to one of his professors, "I was an athlete and always lean and fit. I was talking to a Registered Dietician one day and asked her how could I be considered overweight on a BMI (Body Mass Index) chart if I have never been above 10% body fat? She said the chart was not for athletes, because it does not take my lean muscle mass into account. I then asked her what I should eat and she said she didn’t know. At that moment I realized how out of touch the entire nutritional education system was. It didn’t make sense to me that there was not a philosophy or system that worked for everyone, the moms out there as well as athletes like me".
Mark’s second big lesson in nutrition came when he finished college and stopped playing soccer. Despite the lack of activity, Mark continued to eat the food he was used to; fast food, pizza and ice cream. He realized that without constant exercise, his body became a fat storing machine and before he knew it, he had gained 60 pounds of body fat in a 6 month period. Mark remembers "I just thought I was putting on muscle. I remember saying to my wife Abbi, 'Can you believe I’m 250 pounds and I still have a six pack stomach?" Abbi replied, 'I love you baby but to be honest with you, I just don’t see your abs anymore!'" It was a true awakening for Mark.
Mark began researching and experimenting with every diet in the industry. He thought he found the answer in the Ketogenic Diet, a high fat, high protein and no carbohydrate plan. Mark followed the Ketogenic Diet diligently and went from 250LBS, 24% body fat to 180 LBS, 4% body fat in a 4 month period and thus began his fitness modeling career. For 4 years Mark read every fitness magazine, every nutrition book and tried every natural supplement on the market. Mark remembers, "It was an interesting time, I kept searching for answers. I looked great and felt horrible. I lived for my cheat days and was grumpy 6 days a week (the days without carbohydrates) and happy one day a week (the day I ate carbohydrates). It was not the life I wanted or the life Abbi wanted. Then Abbi once again sparked the next phase of my research. Abbi told me she couldn’t live like this anymore; my obsession over my body, food and the control it had over me was putting a dent in our relationship and wasn’t healthy. She said things had to change. Abbi was, is and will always be my sounding board and voice of reason. She was absolutely right."
Mark began to seriously study his medical books and research endocrinology, the nervous system and the digestive system. His research gave him a true understanding of the science of blood sugar stabilization. Mark recalls, "I was at a point in my life where I could not find the solution that would let me look great and feel great. I wanted lots of energy, I wanted to be lean, and I was sick and tired of the sugar cravings. I was truly frustrated. My college education provided me with a thorough understanding of human physiology & anatomy. The gap in this education was in the area of nutrition… I was taught very little about it. Most of the information I came to know relating to this was had to do with Body Mass Index and the food pyramid, neither of which made much sense. My years of fitness modeling taught me about starvation and deprivation – this wasn’t a healthy way to stay nutritionally sound. I decided that I should go back to the basics and study how the human body regulates and stabilizes blood sugar. I took out my medical dictionary and started reading. I realized that if the answer was going to be found, it was up to me. I took the knowledge I learned in school, my years in the fitness industry and my research on blood sugar stabilization and Venice Nutrition was born."
Venice Nutrition received its name because of its location next to Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach,California, known by many as the mecca of the nutrition and fitness industry. Mark thought that he had finally discovered the answer to optimal health and well being and used his findings to create a system to teach others on how to achieve permanent results at his nutrition center. Then a defining moment occurred in his wife’s life, Abbi sustained an impact injury to her neck. The injury seemed minor at first, and slowly and surely her body began to deteriorate. Mark remembers this painful time all too well: “It seemed initially Abbi would recover in a couple of weeks. But the weeks stretched into a year and Abbi was not getting better. We saw 10 orthopedists and 3 rheumatologists. No one had an answer. She was eventually diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. She had trouble walking more than 5 minutes at a time, was in pain all of the time, and couldn’t sleep well throughout the night. The pain and frustration soon took over her life. "It was the hardest thing for me to deal with; I helped people everyday and could not help my own wife."
Mark hit the books once again in attempt to discover a solution for Abbi, studying the human body in relation to sleep, psychosomatic syndrome and stress. He realized that stabilizing the blood sugar is only one part of the equation. Mark learned that sleep, nutrition, exercise, supplements, water intake, and stress all must be maintained and balanced in order to achieve optimal health. Within six months, Venice Nutrition's Health Structure was born. Abbi began implementing the Health Structure and her condition started to improve. Her comfortable days grew more frequent and her pain lessened each week. Within 6 months she was completely off medication and had her life back.
Mark vividly remembers Abbi’s recovery: "I recall the tremendous relief when I realized that Abbi could live her life to the fullest again. We had thought she might never get better. Several years later she had a pain free pregnancy with our son Hunter, and we knew at this point that her body had made a full and permanent recovery. Today, she is Chief Operations Officer for Venice Nutrition, LLC. and a driving force behind our company. We are living a life now that neither of us ever thought would be possible. I thought at that moment how amazing it would be to teach everyone we could all about how to incorporate nutrition and the Health Structure into their lives. I finally found the answers I was looking for."
To date, Mark has personally coached over 25,000 clients. The diversity of his clientele is amazing to say the least. Mark’s clients are young and old, healthy and unhealthy, athletes and beginners, male and female, etc… His dream of creating a nutrition system that could improve anyone's quality of life has truly been achieved.
Mark knew that in order to reach the vast amount of people who needed help with nutrition to improve their quality of life, he would need to create a network of nutrition centers, a certification program to train and educate new coaches, and a software system that could be used from any computer anywhere in the world. This inspired Mark to create a Licensing Package which would achieve the goal of expansion, and provide the platform for Venice Nutrition's overall mission. Venice Nutrition launched its licensing system in 2003 and now has hundreds of Venice Nutrition Locations across the country.
Also in 2003, Mark founded the IBNFC (International Board of Nutrition and Fitness Coaching). He and his team of two doctors and a registered dietician combined their years of professional expertise and knowledge of the human body to create the most dynamic nutrition certification process in the industry today. Now anyone can learn about nutrition, fitness and the science of blood sugar stabilization and find the answers that took Mark so many years to uncover.
In May 2006, Mark's ultimate dream came true. He worked with the VN medical and management team to create a virtual replica of his one on one coaching system. The official launch of Venice Nutrition Online was a tremendous feat. Since then, anyone in the world has the opportunity to take a complimentary health assessment online and get immediate results, choose to enroll in the system and have a complete customized Health Structure created according to their personal nutrition and fitness goals.
Venice Nutrition continues its steady growth daily with new members enrolling in every state, nutrition centers popping up nationwide, health professionals getting certified in nutrition and licensing the system as well universities inviting VN coaches to perform lecture series and corporate America enrolling in courses and programs to boost employee wellness. This tremendous growth is due to the goals and dreams of Mark Macdonald and his powerful team, and our members, who continue to spread the Venice Nutrition message of great health daily.
March 2011 will be when Mark and the Venice Nutrition Community reaches the Next Level. March 29, 2011 is the Highly Anticipated World Wide release of the Venice Nutrition Book. It is time for a New Level of Thinking in the Industry. Together, Mark and the One Million Strong Venice Nutrition Community, will Lead this Change and finally provide realistic and attainable health answers and solutions for the millions of individuals who search desperately day after day.
Director of Venice Nutrition Workplace Wellness
Pam has worked in the Hospitality Industry for over 20 years as Director of National Accounts for Luxury hotels. Her understanding of the corporate world is vast and her ability to lead and inspire others is unmatched. Bringing her passion for health and fitness along with such profound business experience, she is a perfect match to lead the Workplace Wellness division.
Pam's passion for health and fitness began in the early years with the fun she found in playing sports. A tomboy at heart, she loved playing basketball with the boys, sliding through the dirt on the softball field and swimming every day of every summer. As a cheerleader for 10 years, she also enjoyed dance and gymnastics. Growing up in the south, she loved fried foods and was taught to eat everything on her plate. Because she was athletic and thin, she seemed healthy.
As Pam entered the professional world of business, she was much more sedentary and though she maintained her love for exercise, an hour a day was not enough to combat the unhealthy eating habits she had developed.
She was introduced to Venice Nutrition when she convinced a nutritionist to speak to her clients about wellness. VN provided tools to make it easy to understand how the body works and why. This made all the difference when it came to making the right choices.
Pam oversees the development and implementation of The Workplace Wellness Division of Venice Nutrition and strongly believes education is the key to tackling the obesity problem we face today.
Having grown up in a household with an aerobics instructor for a mom and long distance runner for a dad, Amy was born to exercise. She has always known how important it was for health but did not understand the overwhelming importance of nutrition to a healthy lifestyle. Despite her penchant for exercise, Amy tried every diet in the book - the no fat diet, the Atkins diet, Weight Watchers and many others.
Always a competitive athelete, Amy kept her weight in check until college where the "freshman fifteen" came to stay. Graduating with a B.S. in Management from Georgia Tech, Amy went on to become director of operations at an IT marketing firm. As she climbed the corporate ladder and her stress level rose, so did her weight. After getting engaged and going on a near-starvation diet to ready herself for her wedding, Amy came to realize how destructive a diet like that could be. She was hungry, miserable, and because of this, she nearly drove off her fiance (now husband). After the wedding, Amy vowed never to diet again, beginning her journey to better health through education and her understanding of the human body and its relationship to food. Eventually, Amy was introduced to the Venice Nutrition system and strength training. Amy has achieved amazing results by adding variety to her workouts and implemementing a balanced lifestyle. Now, Amy is a certified nutritionist and wellness speaker for Venice Nutrition. Her goal: motivate others to end the destructive cycle of dieting and live a healthy lifestyle through balanced nutrition and exercise.
A native Atlantan, Amy is married and has three small children. Her office is at the Buckhead location of The Forum Athletic Club.
“Monica Brant is the most important figure in the history of the women’s fitness movement!” (Quoted by Jim Rosenthal, former Senior Writer- Weider Publications)
“Monica Brant- Her name is as familiar to fitness as Joe Namath’s is to football!” (Quoted by Contributing Writer, Lara McGlashan for Muscle & Fitness Magazine)
Since her first appearance as a cover girl for Muscle & Fitness Magazine in November 1994 she has gained momentum and remains at the top of the female fitness world, evident by her unprecedented national and international magazine exposure – over 100 covers and almost as many articles/interviews to this date and fans worldwide.
Taking a step back in time, Monica grew up accustomed to hard work. Raised on a 20-acre ranch, where her mom was a professional horse trainer for 15 years, Monica was riding and showing horses of all disciplines since the age of 7. To this day Monica still enjoys riding; (Jumpers being her favorite) but at the present time she owns a Quarter Horse.
Along with the horses, Monica was also a zealous athlete in school – running sprints during track season and playing volleyball. In her sophomore year of high school she was on the Texas State Mile Relay Winning team, running her leg of a quarter mile with a time of 57 seconds!
After graduating from high school and attending college part time, Monica started her first steps towards the fitness stage by competing in local and statewide bikini contests and working part time as a San Antonio Budweiser girl. Winning a brand new Mustang (car) was her top prize in a contest. This built up confidence that she had what it took to be on stage!
In 1991 Monica started lifting weights and noticed a photo of Marla Duncan winning a fitness competition in a national fitness publication. Marla’s beauty and physique impressed her so much that she wanted to try her hand at the same kind of competitions. Just a few months later in 1991, Monica competed and won her first show! After competing for a few more years based in Texas, she decided to make the move to Los Angeles, where to her surprise she turned her hobby into a full-blown career. Since her move in 1995 and earning her Pro Card in the IFBB, Monica competed in 1-3 contests a year through 1999. After the Fitness Olympia in 1999, she decided to retire from the Fitness stage, however, she was still continually booked for appearances around the world (Germany, Italy, Austria, France, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Argentina and many tropical islands too!) promoting a healthy lifestyle!
After 3.5 years hiatus from professional fitness competitions; Monica was invited to compete in the first Professional IFBB FIGURE International 2003 at the prestigious Arnold Classic.
Unlike Figure’s sister division, Fitness, the Figure category has no dance/strength routine involved but is comprised of a physique round. The ladies are judged by a panel of experienced judges on their symmetry, full muscle bellies, conditioning of their “physique package’ and stage presence including their grace/poise.
As a veteran to the Olympia stage, Monica also won the IFBB FITNESS Olympia in 1998 (which was held in Nice, France) and is happy to say she was the first athlete to ever compete in more than one division of the Olympia competition. (Fitness & Figure)
The Olympia is the pinnacle of Professional bodybuilding, remembering Arnold Schwarzenegger made his debut in the entertainment world by winning the Men’s IFBB Bodybuilding Olympia title “back in the day”!
After 15 years of competing in the IFBB Pro Divisions, Monica recently switched organizations to expand her network into the WBFF Professional Figure division.
Beyond the stage, Monica balances her “normal” schedule of training, traveling, competing, answering emails, booking appearances, fulfilling orders/trips to the P.O., networking with fans online, maintaining 2 websites, personal training/nutritional consulting with fitness modeling for the top fitness publications.
One of her most proud accomplishments was in June 2003 were Monica was honored with the solo spot on Muscle & Fitness Magazine, one of very few women to have this opportunity in the magazine's history!
Her first and hopefully not last book was published in 2006 titled, "Monica Brant’s Secrets to Staying Fit & Loving Life!”.
Karen Hawley, Former Senior Art Director (1998-2003) – Muscle & Fitness Hers says, “Monica’s accomplishments speak for themselves, she simply shines – truly a fitness icon for the millennium!”
Monica’s love of helping others achieve their own personal goals is the driving factor in her motivation for her lifestyle. So, true to form, she hosts the F.E.M. (Fun! Educational! Motivational!) Camps™ for women (all fitness levels welome) interested in health, fitness, competing, modeling and proper nutrition! The F.E.M. Camps™ are held throughout the USA, Canada, Australia and Iceland.

At the present time, Monica has settled down in Austin, TX where she is a member of the Mayor’s Fitness Council and networks with various trainers. She also has a monthly feature with Austin Fit Magazine.
Rest assured she will continue to bring fitness to as many others as she can while maintaining her own goals and living a very full and happy life!
