Currently 2/3 of all Adults and 1/3 of all children are either overweight or obese. This number is astonishing and what makes it even more so is that it has steadily increased over 4 decades. In addition, the combined revenue of the Pharmaceutical and Weight Loss Industries is over a whopping 350 Billion Dollars annually! Obviously, there is an epidemic in our country and the reality is that if we continue attempting to solve our health crisis with the same level of thinking that created the crisis, regression of our society’s health is a certainty. However, if we choose a different path, a course that will provide realistic and attainable health solutions, the possibilities for our society are endless.

I began this journey sixteen years ago, frustrated with the void of available health information. Everything on the market was either designed around quick weight loss through calorie and carbohydrate restriction or by using medication to solve health challenges. I quickly realized that there was a hole in our Health Industry. The answers and solutions that millions of people of all goal types were desperately searching for could not be found. It was at this moment I understood “Why” Venice Nutrition had to be created, I needed to create a New Level of Thinking and finally fill the hole in the Health Industry. I knew this vision could be accomplished by delivering a realistic and attainable health education that would teach people how to permanently work nutrition, fitness and overall health into their world.

Through the past sixteen years, what initially began as my cause has become OUR cause. Venice Nutrition started with one coach, me, and one client. We have built a grass roots movement nationally and internationally that has inspired fellow Health Professionals to join the movement and Individuals that truly want to understand how their body works so they can finally take control of their health. This has all been possible because of the passion of the Venice Nutrition Community which is now over One Million Strong!

We are entering the Next Level for Venice Nutrition. Because of the strength of our Community and Partnerships, together we are primed to reach the masses and bring about true change. We are at our “Tipping Point” and it is time for us to Lead A New Level of Thinking in the Health Industry.

2011 will be the next phase for Venice Nutrition, and to celebrate we are bringing the entire VN Community together, Nutrition Coaches, Members as well as other Health Professionals & Enthusiasts. We have planned to have a Powerful day together that will provide tons of excitement, cutting edge information and a sense of togetherness. As a bonus, the event will culminate with the Pre-Release Reveal of the Venice Nutrition Book and its Contents, which is scheduled to hit Bookstores March 29, 2011. Both myself and Harper Collins Publishing will also share the National Marketing Campaign for the Venice Nutrition Brand which is set to launch in early 2011.

January 15th will be a moment in time when we can rally together to fuel our motivation, education and inspiration. We will then take that momentum and make 2011 our launch pad for creating lasting change in our Health Industry. It is time that people understand it is possible to make their health a priority, and that the Venice Nutrition Community will provide health answers and solutions that the rest of the world wants and needs.

After the Keynote Presentation the Ball Room will be divided into two rooms. Room One will have breakout sessions designed for Nutrition Coaches and other Health Professionals. Room Two will have breakout sessions designed for Members and other Health Enthusiasts. Please Note that even though these sessions are designed for a particular audience, anyone registered for the event can attend any of the breakout sessions.

However, for some reason we seem to spend very little time learning how to improve our communication style. Have you asked yourself why you can communicate with certain individuals better? Have you ever been frustrated when you think someone just does not "get" you or that you do not "get" them? Most of us have experienced both of those examples, due primarily to the fact that we do not truly understand communication. Steven’s comprehensive approach will educate you on all the facets of communication in an understandable way.     details Speakers: Joanne Leebio >> & Nicole Hilburt, RDbio >> Establishing A New Level of Thinking in the Health Industry requires a clear Understanding of how each of the Body's Systems work together for one Single Purpose, To Create Homeostasis (Internal Balance). Joanne and Nicole will share how The 6 Main Systems of the Body (Nervous, Circulatory, Endocrine, Digestive, Respiratory, Muscular) work together as a Kinetic Chain to establish a Balanced Internal Environment. This balanced environment provides the body with the ability to create energy, burn fat, build lean body mass, increase energy, and eliminate sugar cravings. Overall, this will allow the body to work optimally and efficiently. This presentation will give you a complete picture of the anatomy and physiology of the body.

The key to any business achieving its goals is by starting with an Action Plan. Mark will be presenting the 6 Key concepts to developing a powerful Nutrition & Fitness Business Action Plan. He will share how to Define your Mission, Possess Clarity with your Goals, Understand your Strengths and Challenges, Determine your Tactics, Develop Your Strategies and Create a Consistent and Productive Schedule. From thinking of your business to building your business, this session will provide you with the tools to create an Action Plan Customized to Your Business.

First, we provide each client with an education about how their body works. Second, we lead our clients by showing them what is possible and inspiring them to make their health a priority. Finally, we teach our clients realistic and attainable solutions on how to make their nutrition, fitness and overall health a permanent part of their world. These objectives can be defined as the 5 Parts to a Coach/Client Relationship. Mark and Joanne will dive into each part, focusing specifically on: Generating and Performing a Health Assessment, Leading a Program Presentation, Mastering Coaching Follow Ups, Enhancing a Client Relationship, and Creating Referrals.     details Speaker: Mark Macdonaldbio >> You must first know where you are starting from before you can determine where you are going and how fast you can get there. The first question we ask ourselves when we start any type of health plan is: "How quickly will I achieve my goals?" It seems like a fairly straight forward question and should be easy to answer. By simply applying logic, we could determine exactly what speed each health goal could be achieved, right? If it was only that easy... The reality is each of us has a different metabolism and starting point, which directly affects the rate that our health goals can be achieved. The fact is that setting unrealistic time frames for health goals is the biggest reason why many people do not succeed in reaching them. Now the great news is that whatever your health goal, it is attainable if you implement the right tools. The only unknown in the health goal process is the time frame in which you will achieve those goals. There are many variables that determine how quickly your goals will be achieved. Mark will lead you through how to determine your type of metabolism and your starting point, then based on those pieces of information set realistic and attainable health goals & time frames to achieve them. We are taught to follow a plan, implement its strategies and then somehow have the will power to continue on forever. We never truly learn anything, except that we do not want to live our life in a “dieting box.” So, when we are tired of the “diet”, we quit with the same nutrition knowledge we had when we started. The purpose of this breakout session is to break down the the “dieting box” walls, and to help you become an Expert on Your Nutrition. This will educate you on HOW and WHY you CAN eat the foods you love and STILL achieve your Health Goals.     details Speakers: Monica Brantbio >> & Joanne Leebio >> Your Nutrition Releases your Stored Body Fat, Your Exercise Burns Up that Fat and Increases your Lean Body Mass (composing your metabolism). Since your stored fat is primarily burned in your muscle for energy, the main goal when you exercise is to activate the maximum amount of muscle fibers (the more muscle you activate the more body fat you burn). In a sense, we are all creatures of habit and it is more comfortable to do the same workouts over and over again. The challenge with this mindset is after the first week your body adapts to that workout. This means, by not changing up your workouts you stop progressing and shift to your body into a maintenance mode. There are 3 principles that will keep your exercise fresh, exciting and help you progress towards achieving your health goals. The 3 principles are: Understanding how to Work out Smarter, Challenging Yourself and Enjoying Your Exercise.
