Andrea "Dre" Nichols-Everett is quickly becoming one of the most prominent African American women in the world of fitness. For more than eleven years, Dre has inspired men, women and children to make up their minds to get fit and stay fit by creating a group fitness workout program that includes daily exercise and a healthy dose of motivational and spiritual affirmation.

Dre was born in 1971 in Blue Island, Illinois but was raised on the east coast in Meriden, Connecticut. She enjoyed an active childhood and was very athletic in high school, participating in several sports including, volley ball and track. It wasn’t until Dre began college in 1989 at the University of Virginia that she slowly began gaining weight. Poor eating habits coupled with an inactive life style caused her to pack on an extra 30 pounds by the time she graduated.

In 1998, she married the love of her life, Dwayne Everett, and continued to live an unhealthy lifestyle. At the time, Dre was working as a professional pharmaceutical sales representative for Johnson and Johnson based in Raritan, New Jersey. Because her career was her main priority, busy days and long work nights kept the excess weight piling on.

But something remarkable happened on April 12, 1999. After taking a long hard look at herself and the women around her, Dre decided to change the focus of her life and make healthy living a "number one" priority. With a made up mind, she joined the YMCA and started working out on a consistent basis. That same year, Dre dropped a whopping 25 pounds and five dress sizes.

After only 5 months of consistent work-outs, something clicked and Dre decided to fulfill a life- long dream of becoming a Certified Fitness Instructor. Eventually, she found part-time work as a step and kick box instructor at Gold's Gym, the YMCA and Xsport Fitness. Because of her strong ability to motivate others to take their health and fitness seriously, Dre’s classes were always filled to capacity.

In 2005, another life changing moment gave Dre's life as a fitness coach and trainer a whole new meaning. Her mother was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease and because of Dre’s health conscious life-style; she was the only member of her family healthy enough to donate a kidney to save her mother’s life. The experience motivated Dre to do more. She wanted others to feel the same way she felt after shedding 25 pounds so she made it her mission to help as many people as she could live better, stronger, and longer.

In 2007, she formed D3: Dre's Diesel Dome, LLC. The company's tag line, "Life Changing Fitness for a Made Up Mind," has become her personal and professional mantra to define her approach to health and fitness. She believes that only when a person truly makes up their mind to be healthy and fit, will they be able to successfully achieve and sustain their fitness goals. Dre also believes that getting fit should be affordable for everyone. Her group fitness classes are offered at a tiny fraction of what the average person pays for a personal trainer at a popular gym. Dre believes that if she keeps her class price lower, she will be able to touch, affect and change more lives! She is clearly changing the lives of people who are in need of motivation, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to reach and exceed their fitness goals.

Enhancing the quality of life for all of her members who have a "Made up their Mind" to live healthier is what drives Dre to keep spreading her fitness message. As a result of her unwavering dedication, her grassroots approach is catching on. Since D3: Dre's Diesel Dome, LLC opened its doors in 2007, more than 1000 men, women, and children have accepted Dre's challenge to "Be Fit, Be Fabulous and Be Blessed!" Her group exercise studio offers boot camp classes, known as Boot Camp Divas and Boot Camp Co-Eds, kettle bell training, kickboxing, pilates, step, circuit training and much more. Additionally, Dre provides on-site fitness training for local Chicago schools and corporations such as Harpo Studios and Alta K Apartments.

Dre also realizes that exercise is not the silver bullet to weight loss. Nutrition is a huge part of the health equation. After trying several "diets" over her lifetime, Dre finally found a nutrition system that worked for her consistently. Venice Nutrition was the answer because the system teaches clients how food affects their bodies and how blood sugar stabilization is the key to permanent weight loss. Because she had so much success with the program, Dre decided to pursue an education with Venice Nutrition in order to help her members with not only the exercise component, but also their nutrition. She was certified as a Nutrition Coach through Venice Nutrition in 2010 and is now coaching her members on how to eat to live, not live to eat! Her program does not offer a diet, but rather a new way of eating to promote fat burning and weight loss.

Because of her pure love of fitness, Dre has been recently selected to be the National Fitness Spokesperson for The American Heart Association. Dre has been featured on ABC News, 190 North, N’Digo Magazine, WYCA radio, 1st Impressions Magazine, The Red Eye, Chicago Magazine and most recently in Ebony Magazine Aug 2010 . In 2008 her unique fitness classes were voted the "Best Alternative Workout" in Chicago according to CitySearch. Dre was also nominated and received the honorable position of being one of the "TOP 25 WOMEN OF CHICAGO" in 2010. Dre has plans to expand her fitness concept into Indiana and Wisconsin by 2013.
